New Name, New Chapter. Captions is Now Mirage.

You might have noticed a big change around here. That’s right: We changed our company name. 

For years you’ve known us as Captions, the team behind the Captions app. We’re proud of what we’ve built, and Captions remains central to our company’s mission. But now, it’s also part of something bigger: A broader vision to push the limits on what short-form video can be.

We started this company to make video creation easier. Captions did that, for millions of people around the world. Now, we’re expanding our company mission to go far beyond video creation and editing. Our team is doubling down on innovation, continuing to expand and improve our proprietary foundation model. We’re also rapidly launching new products and features, both in the Captions app and in our enterprise product, Mirage Studio. 

This isn’t just a rebrand. It’s a commitment to the future of AI video. Going forward, we’ll be posting to a new blog, on the new Mirage website. You can also follow us on X or LinkedIn so you always have the latest.
